Celine Dion has recently opened up on how she has been dealing with her health issues. While speaking to People magazine for their cover story on June 14, 2024, the singer stated that her children have been her biggest support. Dion is a mother of three sons - Rene-Charles Angelil, Nelson Angelin, and Eddy Angelil.

Dion stated that she was having trouble while walking and her sons started witnessing the same at one point. She said:

"I was like, 'OK, they already lost a parent. I don't want them to be scared."

She continued by stating how she handled the entire situation and said:

"I let them know, 'You lost your dad, [but] mom has a condition and it's different. I'm not going to die. It's something that I'm going to learn to live with."

Back in 2022, Celine Dion shared a video on her Instagram page, announcing that she was diagnosed with stiff-person syndrome. The Love Again star said at the time that she had been battling with problems related to her health for a long time and had trouble handling regular activities. Dion stated that the condition affects "one in a million people" and added:

"While we're still learning about this rare condition, we now know that this is what has been causing all of the spasms that I've been having."

The La Petite Vie star continued by saying that she has to prioritize her health and would do everything to continue living a normal life.

The Charlemagne, Quebec native accumulated a huge fanbase over the years from her successful music projects. Beyond her career, she has raised three children with her husband, Rene Angelil. The latter passed away in Las Vegas after a long battle with throat cancer in 2016.

Celine Dion had previously addressed her sons in the 2022 Instagram video. She stated that all three of them have been supporting and giving her hope at a time when she is fighting health problems.

Dion was 32 when she welcomed her first child, Rene-Charles. The 23-year-old has developed an interest in golf and hockey alongside music over the years and his mother also came to support him during one of the games held at Terrebonne. He even released two singles in 2018 followed by an EP, Casino.5.

In 2010, the All My Children star became a mother of twins, Eddy and Nelson. While they are still kids, Dion had once spoken about them in an interview with Hello! Magazine, saying that Nelson has a "little stronger personality" and continued:

"They are fraternal twins, but they look very alike. Nelson weighed more at the birth, but the doctor told us in a week or two, they're going to be the same."

A source for People magazine revealed in 2023 that Celine Dion has always focused on her sons along with her performance. Rene-Charles was also spotted at the Grammy Awards this year and he previously attended one of his mother's performances at Las Vegas.
