Well-known record producer DJ Clark Kent, 58, unexpectedly died on Thursday, October 24, 2024. He produced several hit singles over the years, such as Spread My Wings, and was married to his wife, Kesha Franklin, the CEO of Halden Interiors.
DJ Clark Kent was battling colon cancer for a long time, which eventually led to his death. The news of his demise was first revealed through his social media page on October 26. The post included a black-and-white photo, where Clark's face is covered with a cap, followed by a statement.
The tribute post on his Instagram page stated that he was surrounded by his family members. The statement reads:
"Clark quietly and valiantly fought a three year battle with Colon Cancer, while continuing to share his gifts with the world. The family is grateful for everyone's love, support and prayers during this time and ask for privacy as they process this immense loss."
Rapper Rapsody also took to her Facebook page to express her grief, thanking DJ Clark Kent for his contributions to the music industry. She even recalled the moments she spent with Kent and wrote:
"Always one of the first with a call, text, words of celebration and acknowledgement. Affirmation. We are grateful to have experienced you in this life, I love you dearly. I will miss you greatly! Godspeed, loved one…may your journey be peaceful."
DJ Clark Kent's wife has established herself in a different field
Born Rodolfo A. Franklin, he kept his personal life away from the spotlight over the years. As mentioned, DJ Clark Kent tied the knot with Kesha Franklin, and the pair had two children, Kabrian and Antonio.
Kesha's LinkedIn profile says that she has been associated with Halden Interiors for a long time. The bio additionally states that the company is currently one of the most popular design firms in New York City. The bio also says:
"In the hands of principal designer, Kesha Franklin, residential and hospitality spaces are transformed into stylish and well-appointed environments. Each space is expertly refined and functional. Our aim is to design luxury interior with personality-stimulate the senses, evoke energy, inspiration and a feeling of total well-being."
While detailed information on Kesha's early life remains unknown, she completed her higher studies at Lincoln University. The official website of the event What's New, What's Next says that she has earned various titles for her flawless work, including Rising Design Star from NYC's Iconic Decoration & Design Building.

Clark Kent was initially a DJ and was a close friend of rappers like Jay-Z and The Notorious B.I.G. He even formed a group of DJs called Supermen. He also loved sneakers and had designed one for Nike called 112 Pack.
DJ Clark Kent explained the meaning behind the sneaker, which came out in 2009, in an interview with News 12 this year by saying:
"Every ZIP code in Brooklyn is 112. That was my story. I picked my favorite colors and material and came up with the idea. I got challenged to do it on a different silhouette, so my first pack had three shoes in it. I was only looking for one, so that was kind of crazy."
The most successful song in DJ Clark Kent's credits was Player's Anthem. The single was part of the album Conspiracy, released by Junior M.A.F.I.A. Kent also had a lot of collaborations with Jay throughout his career. This included three singles from the latter's project, Reasonable Doubt.
