As Sean "Diddy" Combs awaits trial, the name of one of his anonymous accusers has been revealed. Citing legal documents, TMZ on Friday, December 6, 2024, reported that one of the Jane Does who sued the rapper is the ex-wife of a professional hockey player, Evander Kane—Anna Kane.

Per the publication, a judge ordered Anna to reveal her identity if she wanted to pursue her case further. In a statement, shared through her attorney Doug Wigdor, Anna told TMZ:
"I had hoped to use a pseudonym in pursuing justice for what happened to me as a teenager. Defendants' demand that I use my name was an attempt to intimidate me, but I am not intimidated. I am prepared to proceed and hold accountable those who have harmed me."
For the unversed, Combs' troubles began last year when his ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura sued him for r*pe and abuse. While the lawsuit was settled in a day, several others, including Anna Kane, filed separate suits with similar complaints. This prompted a federal s*x trafficking investigation into Diddy which led to his arrest in September.
Anna Kane first filed a civil lawsuit agaisnt Diddy in December 2023
Anna Kane, who currently resides in Canada, filed a civil lawsuit against Diddy in December 2023. Per an article by the Daily News, Kane was just a 17-year-old high schooler from Detroit when she met Harve Pierre, then president of Combs' Bad Boy record label. In 2003, Pierre allegedly flew her to New York City to a recording studio to meet the rapper, where men piled her with drugs and alcohol and gang r*ped her.
According to the article, the filing included photos from the alleged night. This included one of Kane sitting on Diddy's lap.
At the time, the rapper has denied the accusation and filed a motion to dismiss the lawsuit stating it was filed too late as per New York state's laws.
Kane married the NHL superstar Evander Kane in 2018. They share a daughter, Kensington Kane who was born in July 2020. Anna filed for a divorce a year later. Evander, who currently plays for the Edmonton Oilers, has not been accused of any wrongdoing.
Kane is not the only alleged victim who was asked to reveal their name to proceed with their lawsuit. Last month, Judge Mary Kay Vyskocil compelled Candice McCrary to refile her lawsuit with her name.
Diddy has denied all accusations leveled against him. However, in May 2024, CNN released security footage from 2016 of a hotel in Los Angeles showing the rapper kicking and dragging Cassie. This corroborated claims made in Ventura's lawsuit. Combs later released an apology video on Instagram (since deleted).
Federal authorities arrested the rapper in September 2024 on charges of s*x trafficking, racketeering, and transportation to engage in prostitution. Since then, Texas attorney Tony Buzbee announced he is representing an alleged 120 new victims, many of whom were minors (several of the alleged victims have filed lawsuits).
Combs is currently being held without bail (denied multiple times) at a metropolitan detention center in Brooklyn. His trial is scheduled for May 2025.
