On June 11, Texas rapper Enchanting, whose real name was Channing Nicole Larry, passed away aged 26. So far, the official cause of her death remains undisclosed.
However, the No Luv rapper’s management team exclusively told The Shade Room that she died after being taken off life support. They also informed that Enchanting was transported to a medical facility on June 10, after withdrawals and overdose.
In the wake of the rapper's tragic demise, her boyfriend MotionGod Bandman has been mourning on social media. He took to Facebook to share an image of them together and wrote in the caption accompanied by a broken heart emoji and a crying emoji:
“You finally found that peace that you was looking for you. Y’all hurt me bad.”
He also followed it up with another post that read:
“Damn my lil baby gone fr.”
The news of Enchanting’s demise was first shared by his longtime friend, associate, and collaborator Lil CJ Kasino on Instagram and later by her sister Kayy Jay and rapper-record executive Gucci Mane. She was signed onto the latter’s The New 1017 Records from 2020 to 2023.
Enchanting’s boyfriend is also a rapper
Enchanting met MotionGod Bandman in 2022, and they began dating soon after. According to his Facebook bio, MotionGod is an alumnus of Harvard University and hails from Memphis, Tennessee, where he attended Ridgeway High School.
Presently, he works at Rich Savage Ent, a local apparel brand, and is also a rapper just like his late girlfriend. In fact, the couple collaborated on a song titled Trap Don’t Stop in 2022.
Nothing more is known about MotionGod Bandman or his relationship with the late 1017 artist, as they kept it private. In one of his recent Facebook posts which he captioned, “I love you so much,” he shared a carousel of pictures and videos of him and Enchanting together.
He revealed that they liked attending parties and other social gatherings together and frequently accompanied each other in recording studios.
Big Scarr was reportedly Enchanting’s former boyfriend
In 2021, Enchanting was rumored to be in a romantic relationship with late rapper Big Scarr, whose real name was Alexander Woods. The duo met at the 1017 Records studio and eventually became close. However, they never acknowledged the rumor and considered each other best friends.
In 2022, Big Scarr passed away from drug overdose. In the wake of his demise, the Luv Scarred/ No Luv rapper took to Instagram to mourn. The post continues to be pinned on her profile and carries the caption:
“My favorite hype man. I love you so much. Wish this was a dream. Every day, I wake up to [the] text saying am I ok & I realize it’s reality. I’m so heartbroken n I’m not ok. I just want my dawg back. We used to stay together, literally wake up to his a*s everyday n I’ll keep them memories close forever.”
The post, which was accompanied by several broken heart emojis, also contained a short clip of her and Big Scarr embracing each other at an event.
Earlier this year, she also shared a series of images and clips on Instagram, wishing the late Big Scarr on his birthday, and doubled down on her “love” for her “best friend.”
She also added that “life [is] so hard” and “hurting” in his absence, and expressed how he could never be replaced.
