Well-known record producer Quincy Jones, 91, died on November 3, 2024, from unknown causes at his residence in Los Angeles. His publicist, Arnold Robinson, confirmed the news in a statement shared with the Associated Press.
The Chicago, Illinois native was a father of seven children from his previous relationships, including three marriages to Jeri Caldwell, Ulla Andersson, and Peggy Lipton. Apart from this, he was romantically linked to Nastassja Kinski for around three years.
Quincy served as a producer of projects released by popular artists and worked under companies such as ABC-Paramount. Furthermore, he was involved with social activism at one point and gained recognition as the founder of the Black Arts Festival and the Listen Up Foundation. Arnold Robinson recalled Quincy's work as he told the Associated Press:
"Although this is an incredible loss for our family, we celebrate the great life that he lived and know there will never be another like him."

1) Jeri Caldwell
His first wife was named Jeri Caldwell, and their love story dates back to when Jones was in school. As per Hollywood Life, the former is an actress who appeared in only one film, Naked Gun 33 1/3: The Final Insult. The pair separated in 1966 after getting married in 1957. They had a daughter named Jolie Jones Levine.
Jolie has maintained distance from the limelight despite working as an actress and model for a brief period. According to People magazine, she is battling Electromagnetic Hypersensitivity and is currently active as an artist, writer, and activist.
2) Ulla Andersson
Quincy Jones' second marriage was to model and actress Ulla Andersson. In 1979, Ulla also released an album titled No Time No Space No Age No Race That's Nifty!. The duo's daughter, Martina Jones, a photographer, has maintained privacy regarding her personal life.
Quincy Jones and Ulla Anderson also had a son named Quincy Delight Jones III. He is active in the same industry as his father. Quincy III has served as a producer for different projects released by artists such as Tupac Shakur. He even created a documentary show called Beef.
Before marrying Ulla in 1967, Quincy was briefly in a relationship with dancer Carol Reynolds and had a daughter named Rachel Jones. As per People magazine, Rachel owns a mobile veterinary practice in Los Angeles and New York. Quincy and Ulla separated in 1974.
3) Peggy Lipton
Although Quincy Jones' first two marriages did not last long, his third marriage to Peggy Lipton lasted many years. The duo was together from 1974 to 1989, and Peggy was active in the world of music and acting. According to NPR, she died in 2019 after a long battle with colon cancer.
Quincy and Peggy's daughter, Kidada Ann Jones, is an actress and fashion designer who has worked for publications such as Vogue magazine. The pair's second child, Rashida Jones, is an actress, mostly known for her performance as Ann Perkins in the NBC series Parks and Recreation.
Quincy Jones had another daughter, Kenya Kinski-Jones, from his relationship with Nastassja Kinski from 1992 to 1995. She had a successful career as a model and is associated with the non-profit organization Last Chance for Animals.
