Snoop Dogg has been making headlines with his unique coverage of the Paris Olympics 2024, and has been making waves in the American hip-hop industry since his debut album was released in 1993. However, several longstanding fans are also unaware that the rapper shares blood relations with many juggernauts of the industry.

Snoop Dogg's cousins are Nate Dogg and Daz Dillinger, and his most high-profile blood relation happens to be with American singer Brandy Norwood (first cousin) and her brother, Ray J. The rapper also has two half-brothers, Jerry Wesley Carter and Bing Worthington Jr. Lastly, his cousin Sasha Banks is a WWE star.

Snoop Dogg's first interaction with beats and music started happening when he was a child. The rapper would often turn to music to zone himself out of a troubled family life and started getting creative with tapes in the '80s.

It was at this time that he came together with Daz Dillinger to form Death Row Records in the early 1990s. The rapper released his first album, Doggystyle, in 1993 through Death Row Records, and it became an instant hit. The album peaked on the Billboard 200 chart and sold 806,000 copies in its debut week itself.

Before the inception of Death Row Records, the rapper also started a band called 213 with his cousin Nate Dogg and friends, Lil'1/2 Dead and Warren G. However, the band didn't last beyond the '80s and Nate unfortunately died at the age of just 41, in March 2011.

The American rapper immortalized Nate Dogg's memory by getting a tattoo of his face shortly after his death with the words, "all dogs go to heaven."

Who are Snoop Dogg's half-brothers? One is a steel worker and the other was his longtime manager

The Nuthin' but a 'G' Thang singer also has two half-brothers from his mother's side, Jerry Wesley Carter and Bing Worthington Jr. The latter was his tour manager and helped merge Dogg Records with the Canadian record label company, Urban Heat Legends.

In a March 2016 interview with Vice, Bing Worthington Jr. elaborated on working as the rapper's manager and explained how he was not favored just because he was related to the rapper.

"I started from the bottom, I ain’t just become the tour manager, I was just the road guy. I worked my way to the top. Even though I’m [the rapper's] brother he didn’t give me a top-ranked position. You can’t just become a president without knowing anything about being the president. You have to learn," commented Bing.

Unfortunately, Bing Worthington Jr. died in February 2024 at the age of 44, three years after the death of their mother, Beverly Tate.

Jerry Wesley Carter was an employee of a company called United Steel Workers. Although there isn't much information about him, he occasionally crops up in the rapper's Instagram posts.

Snoop Dogg has always been openly supportive of her little cousin's wrestling ambitions and opened up about helping her gain entry into the industry in a 2016 interview with WWE.

“I took her around to meet everybody that she wanted to meet, and you could just see her face light up. This is what she wanted to be,” revealed the American rapper.
