Chicago rapper Lil Durk was arrested by U.S. Marshals in Florida on October 25 and charged with the murder-for-hire plot against Atlanta rapper Quando Rondo, which eventually led to the death of Rondo’s cousin Saviay’a Robinson, aka, Lul Pab, in August 2022.

In the wake of Lil Durk’s arrest, numerous theories have emerged online, with netizens accusing the rapper of other alleged crimes, including the murders of Stephon Mack and Octavia Redmond.

For instance, influencer and YouTuber Poetik Flakko shared a post on October 27, 2024, with screenshots of a CBS News article from December 2023 titled: “2 men charged in alleged murder-for-hire slaying in Roseland.”

“The Feds believe Lil Durk paid to get these two people killed. 1. Stephon Mack who killed Lil Durk brother DThang, 2. OTF Jam baby mom was killed because Lil Durk found out he was wore a wire around him. Feds think OTF Jam is the key to putting Lil Durk in jail for All 3 bodies,” Flakko’s post was captioned.

Simply put, online theories are now claiming that Lil Durk was reportedly involved in the murder of Stephon Mack, the alleged killer of his brother DThang, and the killing of Octavia Redmond, the alleged baby mother of OTF Jam, who reportedly snitched on Durk by wearing a wire.

Both murders are now being speculated as retaliation. However, there are no official reports to substantiate the same.

All you need to know about Stephon Mack and Octavia Redmond amid Lil Durk’s arrest

Postal worker Octavia Redmond was killed in broad daylight around 11:40 am on July 19, 2024, in the West Pullman locality of South Chicago. She was shot multiple times while delivering mail and later declared dead at the nearby Advocate Christ Medical Center.

Back then, the shooter’s getaway car was found abandoned and burnt in the next neighborhood.

In August, the surveillance video of the fatal shooting was released by law enforcement. It showed the masked assailant getting into a stolen vehicle a few blocks away from the shooting site and later getting down from it near the crime scene, going out of view, and then returning a few minutes later.

Two months later, a 15-year-old unnamed boy was arrested in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and was identified as 48-year-old Redmond’s killer. However, the motive behind the crime remains undisclosed.

He was charged with felony first-degree murder and extradited to Chicago, where he was arraigned at the Cook County Juvenile Court. He is set to go before court on November 1.

Notably, Octavia Redmond was married to Demetrius Redmond and was also a mother. No media outlet has ever linked her to OTF Jam or Lil Durk.

As for Stephon Mack, he was also shot and killed by two assailants in the Roseland neighborhood of Chicago on January 7, 2022. He was exiting Youth Peace Center when the gunmen got out of a car and opened fire on him on that fateful afternoon.

A security guard was also caught in the crossfire, but he survived his injuries.

In December 2023, the murderers were indicted by a federal grand jury in Chicago. 24-year-old Anthony Montgomery-Wilson and 23-year-old Preston Powell were charged with murder-for-hire each as well as gun charges.

While the former was arrested and pleaded not guilty, the latter remained a fugitive at the time of writing, with warrants out for his arrest.

Just like Octavia Redmond, according to official or media reports, Stephon Mack was in no way related to Lil Durk or his elder brother DThang’s murder.

Exploring, in brief, the circumstances around DThang's death and OTF Jam's snitching allegations

Last week, Lil Durk was arrested and charged with the murder-for-hire of Lul Pab, which, as per federal authorities, was reportedly a retaliation for the 2020 murder of Durk’s friend, associate, collaborator, and mentee, King Von.

26-year-old King Von, who was a rapper and suspected Black Disciples gang member, was killed in the early hours of November 6, 2020, following an altercation with Quando Rondo’s entourage outside a lounge in Atlanta.

The charges against 22-year-old suspect Timothy “Lul Timm” Leeks were dropped in August 2023 under the state’s “stand-your-ground” law, meaning, he shot at Von in self-defense.

Likewise, OTF DThang was also a rapper like his younger brother, Lil Durk. He passed away in mid-2021 at the age of 32. He reportedly succumbed to gunshot wounds after receiving fire outside the Club O in Harvey, Illinois around noon on June 6. No suspect was ever identified for the killing.

Notably, in his 2022 single AHHH HA, Durk referenced the deaths of King Von and DThang and hinted that he avenged both of them. In a portion, he rapped:

"My brother DThang just got killed and I been slow since (Gang, gang, gang)/ But we got back on they a*s, I bet they know this (Brrah)."

He also wrote the lyrics:

"Don't respond to sh*t with Von (Yeah, yeah, yeah)/ I'm like, 'F*ck it, you trippin', go get your gun' (Let's get it, get, gun)/ They droppin' locations, I'm gettin' it done..."

Meanwhile, music executive and rapper Wack 100 recently sat down with DJ Vlad and claimed how an OTF member allegedly snitched on Lil Durk, ahead of his recent arrest.

Wack 100 alleged how OTF Jam was an FBI informant who "did 12 years, got out, interviewed, said he kept it real, brought him cars, gave him 50,000…made mention that ain’t no smudge on his name, he ain’t never been a rat, caught a gun case, but eventually he flipped."

DJ Vlad also made similar allegations that OTF Jam was behind bars for 12 years for a 2010 attempted murder and eventually got out in 2022, around the time Quando Rondo’s cousin Lul Pab was killed.

Vlad further claimed that since then, OTF Jam reportedly wore a wire to gather information against Durk and OTF.
