Diddy pleads not guilty to the charges imposed against him
Also known as Sean Love Combs, he appeared for a trial on September 17, 2024, where he refused to accept the blame for being involved in s*x trafficking, racketeering, and transportation to engage in prostitution. Although his legal team attempted to get bail, it was rejected by the court.
The legal issue became worse after Page Six obtained a grand jury indictment related to the raids conducted at his houses in March this year. It reads that the authorities discovered evidence related to alleged s*x events called "Freak Off."
"In or about March 2024, during searches of Combs' residences in Miami, Florida and Los Angeles, California, law enforcement seized various Freak Off supplies, including narcotics and more than 1,000 bottles of baby oil and lubricant."
It revealed that hotel rooms were booked for these events and while several items, including controlled substances, were used in the same, Diddy's staff members were told to clean the rooms to avoid any problems.
The documents stated that Combs reportedly "maintained control" over the victims by using different methods such as tracking their movements and threatening to withhold their financial support. The victims were allegedly abused by Combs and the documents additionally mentioned:
"Victims believed they could not refuse Combs' demands without risking their financial or job security or without repercussions in the form of physical or emotional abuse."
As per People magazine, Marc Agnifilo also shared a separate statement on the arrest, saying that he deserved praise for trying to get help at the age of 54. He further stated that his client was undergoing "treatment and therapy" but did not reveal other details about the same.
During the recent trial, prosecutors stated that the viral footage where Diddy assaulted Cassie Ventura was enough to prove that it was dangerous to release him. The footage was first acquired by CNN in May 2024, leading to a lineup of criticisms from different personalities.
