The news of Wayne's death was first shared by his brother Donny through Instagram on Friday, January 3. The post included a black-and-white photo of Osmond and Donny disclosed in the caption that Wayne suffered from a stroke.

Donny said that he visited Wayne before his sudden demise at the hospital and continued:

"Wayne brought so much light, laughter, and love to everyone who knew him, especially me. He was the ultimate optimist and was loved by everyone. I'm sure I speak on behalf of every one of us siblings when I state that we were fortunate to have Wayne as a brother."

Donny wrote in the end that although they had been separated in the mortal world, they would get a chance to be with Wayne Osmond for eternity.

Apart from this, Wayne's brothers Merrill and Jay also shared separate posts in his memory on Facebook. The former stated that he took his brother to the hospital and they had a chance to say goodbyes before that.

"My brother was a saint before he came into this world, and he will leave as an even greater saint than he came in. I've never known a man that had more humility. A man with absolute no guile. An individual that was quick to forgive and had the ability to show unconditional love to everyone he ever met."

Merrill stated that Wayne Osmond will always be remembered as someone who was an expert in writing music and left a positive impact on the hearts of millions of people. While Jay's post has been deleted now, it featured him saying that among all the siblings, his closest connection was with Wayne.
