Why is Heart canceling upcoming European tour dates? Refunds and all you need to know

Heart was scheduled to perform across continental Europe as well as the UK in July and August as part of their "Royal Flush Tour 2024," which started with a North American edition in April 2024. However, the band has now canceled the European dates due to the upcoming medical procedure band member Ann Wilson will undergo in late May.

The band announced the cancellation of the tour dates via a post on their official Instagram account on May 29, 2024, stating:

We regret to inform you that all upcoming Heart performances in Europe are canceled. In late May, Ann Wilson will undergo a time sensitive but routine medical procedure for which the minimum recovery is six weeks.

The announcement continues:

"Heart deeply regrets this unfortunate circumstances and hopes to return to Europe soon. Refunds will be available at point of purchase as applicable."

No further details regarding the medical procedure have been provided as of the writing of this article. As mentioned in the announcement, refunds for tickets will be made available via point of purchase, such as the band's official website, or through vendors such as Ticketmaster.

In a separate statement on her social media, Ann Wilson herself apologized for the inconvenience the cancellation may cause fans and assured fans that she was overall in good health.

"I’m okay! Please don’t worry. I do apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. It’s certainly an inconvenience for me. Love & respect always, Ann."

Heart to continue their North American tour

While the Europe tour has been canceled, currently all Heart shows for the second leg of their North America tour are active and will start in late July, which sets the shows after the minimum six-week recovery period mentioned in the cancellation announcement embedded above.

The North America tour will see the band being supported by Def Leppard and Journey on the first few dates on July 30, 2024, as well as August 2 and 5, 2024. On the rest of the dates, barring the last show, the band will be supported by Cheap Trick.
