Back during the first week of October, Liam Payne announced on Snapchat that he was going to be touching down in Argentina to meet up with his fellow former One Direction member Niall Horan. Prior to attending Horan's October 2 concert, Liam uploaded a Snapchat video, in which he said:
"I think we might just go and say hello. It’s been a while since me and Niall have spoken. We’ve got a lot to talk about. And I would like to square up a couple of things with the boy. No bad vibes or anything like that. But just, um, we need to talk."
Liam traveled to Argentina alongside his girlfriend Kate Cassidy. The singer's attendance at Niall's October 2 Movistar Arena concert was confirmed by a few fan-recorded videos showcasing Liam posing with concertgoers and clapping to Niall Horan's song.
Liam Payne himself took to Snapchat in the days following the concert to share pictures and videos from the event. One of the videos shared by Liam showcased him and Kate dancing to Niall Horan from their box at the venue. Underneath a small clip of his former One Direction bandmate on stage, the singer wrote, "So proud."
Additionally, Liam Payne also sang a few lines of One Direction's 2014 hit Night Changes, while changing a few lines to reflect Niall's career at the moment. Rounding off Liam's concert experience photos and videos were a couple of pictures of him and Niall together.
At the time, social media users went wild when Liam Payne shared two pictures with Niall Horan, with the duo standing side-by-side with smiles on both their faces. Liam accompanied one of the pictures with a red heart emoji and wrote: "Reunited."
Until his tragic passing on October 16, Liam Payne continued to share glimpses of his time in Argentina on Snapchat. Just four days prior, he posted a photo with the caption "Lovely day in Argentina," expressing his enjoyment of the locale. He also shared several pictures with Kate Cassidy, including one that he captioned "quality time."
In one of the final pictures shared by Payne on October 16, he appeared slumped in a chair and told his fans that he was thinking of dressing up as Forrest Gump for Halloween.
In yet another story, the singer expressed his happiness at getting some time away. The last ever story he shared hours before his death was Kate Cassidy's August 23 Instagram post wishing him a happy birthday.
