Lil Xan ordered to pay $27K to Anthony Sanchez over 2019 debate on 2Pac

During an interview with Revolt dated February 2018, Lil Xan gave 2Pac a rating of 2 and called the late rapper's music "boring". Xan's interview resulted in a lot of backlash at the time.

As per TMZ's report dated October 24, 2024, in an altercation after Xan's statement on 2Pac at an L.A 7-Eleven on June 7, 2019, the Slingshot rapper pulled a gun on Anthony Sanchez.

A recorded video of the same went viral and also resulted in Sanchez filing a lawsuit against Xan, claiming he feared for his life.

Additionally, in an interview with All HipHop, dated August 30, 2023, Xan addressed his comment on 2Pac and clarified his stance regarding the same.

He told the publication that the interview shouldn't have aired and that he wasn't in a good place when it was taken.

Justifying himself, the Like Me rapper said that he was angry then and wanted to finish the interview quickly. He added:

“I think 2Pac is a legend. I don’t have to explain myself to anybody, but I grew up on a lot of old school West Coast, a lot of old school East Coast. But after that, that was just a little mishap. It was the result of me not being as mature as I am today. Inexperienced with interviews a lot, too."

Lil Xan also mentioned that if given the chance to rectify his statement, he wouldn't because "it started an interesting conversation in Hip Hop."

According to a report by TMZ dated November 28, 2024, the man assaulted by Lil Xan refused medical attention at the scene. Additionally, police said that the rapper assaulted two other people and left the club before the cops came.
