On August 24, 2024, The Times of London reported that Oasis is set to play at multiple concerts in the summer of 2025. The publication stated that the band had planned vast gigs for Wembley Stadium, London, and Heaton Park, Manchester. There is also a possibility of the band headlining the Glastonbury Festival in 2025. There is no confirmation on the reports from Oasis yet.

The popular band split up in August 2009. There were multiple instances of tension between Noel and Liam Gallagher. However, the band officially split at the Rock En Seine festival in Paris.

As the band prepared to go onstage at the festival, an argument broke out between the Gallagher brothers, resulting in Liam wielding Noel's guitar like an axe. This resulted in the show and the band's tour being canceled. Later, Noel Gallagher issued a statement and said:

“It's with some sadness and great relief to tell you that I quit Oasis tonight. People will write and say what they like, but I simply could not go on working with Liam a day longer.”

"See you down the front"— Liam Gallagher responds to fan commenting on Oasis' alleged reunion venue

After Oasis split in August 2009, Liam Gallagher announced in November that he would start Beady Eye, a new band with former Oasis members Andy Bell, Chris Sharrock, and Gem Archer. Beady Eye released two albums, Different Gear Still Speeding and BE.

After the band split, Noel gave a statement titled 'Tales From The Middle of Nowhere' wherein he addressed the split, stating its details weren't important and that there were many reasons to list.

"But I feel you have the right to know that the level of verbal and violent intimidation towards me, my family, friends and comrades has become intolerable. And the lack of support and understanding from my management and band mates has left me with no other option than to get me cape and seek pastures new,” Noel said.

Noel Gallagher launched his career as a solo artist with a show at the Royal Albert Hall, London, in March 2010 for the Teenage Cancer Trust.

While Beady Eye disbanded in 2014, Liam's recent tweets have fueled the rumors of Oasis reuniting. On August 24, 2024, The Times and The Sunday Times tweeted that Noel and Liam "appear to have settled their differences," and the band might perform at Heaton Park. One netizen replied to the tweet, saying it is a "terrible venue for concerts."

Responding to the fan's tweet, Liam Gallagher said:

"See you down the front you big f***y."

On August 25, both Gallagher brothers took to Instagram to share a clip of the Oasis logo. The clip read 27.08.24, which changed to 8 am, indicating the band might have an announcement for fans on the mentioned date and time.

In other news, the band is releasing the early versions of its debut album, Definitely Maybe, to celebrate the album's 30th anniversary. The recordings from Monnow Valley Studios will be released on August 30, 2024, and the releases feature uncut versions of Live Forever, Cigarettes & Alcohol, and Rock 'n' Roll Star, which are taken from the band's first stint at a recording studio as a signed band.
