Slash was set to perform in Cincinnati, Interlochen, Huber Heights, and Windsor from July 22, 2024, to July 27, 2024, as part of his S.E.R.P.E.N.T tour. However, the shows were canceled due to 'unforeseen circumstances,' as announced on his Instagram page on July 21, 2024:

"Due to unforeseen circumstances, the S.E.R.P.E.N.T tour regrettably has to cancel the below performances. Refunds will be available at points of purchase...We love our fans and apologize for any inconvenience this has caused."

Refunds for the canceled dates, as mentioned in the announcement, will be provided at the point of purchase, such as through Ticketmaster or other authorized vendors or venue websites. The four canceled dates and venues are listed below:

  • July 22, 2024 – Cincinnati, Ohio at PNC Pavilion at Riverbend
  • July 24, 2024 – Interlochen, Michigan at Interlochen Center for the Arts
  • July 25, 2024 – Huber Heights, Ohio at Rose Music Center
  • July 27, 2024 – Windsor, Ontario at The Colosseum at Caesars Windsor

Slash's stepdaughter Lucy-Bleu Knight passed away at the age of 25

Slash's stepdaughter, Lucy-Bleu Knight, died on July 19, 2024, at the age of 25, just two days before the tour dates were canceled. He announced the news of his stepdaughter's passing on July 22, 2024, posting the family's statement to Instagram and asking for privacy:

"Lucy-Bleu Knight (December 6, 1998), beloved daughter of Meegan Hodges and Mark Knight, stepdaughter of Samantha Somers Knight and Slash, sister of Scarlet Knight, stepsister of London and Cash Hudson, passed away peacefully in Los Angeles, CA on July 19, 2024."

The singer continued:

"Lucy-Bleu was an incredibly talented artist, a passionate dreamer, and a charming, lovable, sweet soul. The family asks for privacy at this time and requests that social media speculation be kept to a minimum as they grieve and process this devastating loss.”

Slash's S.E.R.P.E.N.T tour will continue from July 28, 2024. The dates and venues for the remainder of said tour are given below:

  • July 30, 2024 – Lewiston, New York at Artpark Outdoor Amphitheater
  • August 1, 2024 – Boston, Massachusetts at Leader Bank Pavilion
  • August 4, 2024 – New York City, New York at Pier 17
  • August 5, 2024 – Bethlehem, Pennsylvania at Bethlehem Musikfest
  • August 7, 2024 –Cary, North Carolina at Koka Booth Amphitheatre
  • August 8, 2024 – Atlanta, Georgia at Cadence Bank Amphitheatre at Chastain Park
  • August 10, 2024 – Clearwater, Florida at The Sound at Coachman Park
  • August 11, 2024 – St. Augustine, Florida at St. Augustine Amphitheatre
  • August 13, 2024 – Huntsville, Alabama at The Orion Amphitheater
  • August 14, 2024 – Franklin, Tennessee at FirstBank Amphitheater
  • August 16, 2024 – Bentonville, Arkansas at The Momentary
  • August 17, 2024 – Grand Prairie, Texas at Texas Trust CU Theatre

Slash embarked on the inaugural blues tour, also known as the S.E.R.P.E.N.T tour, in support of his new album, Orgy of the Damned. The singer called the tour a celebration of blues music in the announcement:

"The S.E.R.P.E.N.T tour is a celebration of blues and rock ‘n’ roll music, and a celebration of unity and togetherness in these uncertain and divisive times."

Orgy of the Damned was released on May 17, 2024, through the Gibson label. The album has been a commercial success since its release, peaking at number 8 on the UK album chart.
