Travis Scott was in Paris, France at the George V Hotel in the 31 Avenue when he was arrested for reportedly fighting with his bodyguard and then a security guard who attempted to break apart the fight between the two men, according to a statement released by the Paris prosecutor's office on August 9, 2024:

"Policemen were called to the Georges V hotel and arrested Travis Scott for violence against a security agent. The latter had intervened to separate the rapper from his bodyguard."

French media, such as the FranceInfo radio network also reported the incident happened while Travis Scott was drunk heavily and refused to cooperate when law enforcement officers attempted to take a breath test.

The singer was reportedly put in a holding cell to sober him up before questioning and further procedures. It is unclear if the singer would be detained further beyond the immediate questioning and procedures.

The arrest took place in front of the hotel at around 05:00am CET in the morning, right on the eighth arrondissement just yards away from Champs-Elysees landmark.

The singer was in the city for the Paris Olympics 2024 aka the Summer Games and was spotted at the match between France and Germany for the Basketball semi-finals, which the host nation won. Days ago, Scott was also spotted in the US vs Serbia match for the other basketball semi-final. He was spotted alongside Quavo and Michael Rubin. France will play US in the finals.
