The pro-Donald Trump anthem Trump Trump Baby by Forgiato Blow and Amber Rose was recently pulled from YouTube. The song was released in June 2024 and was also played at the Republican National Convention on July 16, 2024.

Trump Trump Baby samples David Bowie and band Queen's 1981 track Under Pressure along with American rapper Vanilla Ice's popular baseline from Ice Ice Baby.

As per TMZ's report on July 19, Vanilla Ice still co-owns the rights to Ice Ice Baby and wasn't on board with the track being used for the Republican Party's campaigning purposes. Vanilla Ice also told TMZ that he's not political and doesn't vote either.

However, he walks the line because he has friends on both sides, hinting at how he doesn't have an issue with Forgiato Blow's song but for the purpose that it is being used.

However, the track was pulled from YouTube because of a copyright claim made by Sony Music, which currently holds the publishing rights to Queen's catalog. Sony Music bought the rights to Queen's catalog for $1 billion in June 2024.

"I’ve been banned endless times for supporting Trump" - Forgiato Blow comments on Trump Trump Baby controversy

Forgiato Blow's Trump Trump Baby is a rap about people of varied races uniting to vote for Donald Trump's re-election. The track also warns people that Democrats like Joe Biden are after their freedom and sends a message stating "America needs saving."

The track was taken off YouTube because of Sony's copyright claim and disapproval of using Queen's sample. Forgiato Blow re-uploaded Trump Trump Baby to YouTube on July 19, 2024, with changes in the bass line and instrumental music to make it sound different from Under Pressure by Queen.

In a statement to Entertainment Weekly dated July 19, 2024, Blow mentioned that he already sampled the same song years ago with Vanilla Ice and Rick Ross in 2020 called Vanilla Sprite Remix. Stating that after he added Donald Trump's name to the song, the track ran into trouble. Blow mentioned in his statement to the publication:

"For some reason after 'Trump Trump Baby' was played at the RNC it became a major problem. It’s illegal to [put] Trumps [sic] name in anything these days. The song is back up now."

Forgiato Blow also talked about how he didn't even know whose call it was to remove the song. He submitted the sample information to Sony and sent Trump Trump Baby to Vanilla Ice the day it was released.

However, despite the 2020 collaboration on Vanilla Sprite Remix, the samples need to be cleared again for a new recording. The rapper shared that owing to the copyright claim, all the music from his distro is getting deleted so he'll lose his entire catalog over the same. Blow commented:

"I’ve been banned endless times for supporting Trump , guess if I [rapped] about guns & drugs they [wouldn't] care."

While Vanilla Ice expressed a neutral stance over his sample from Ice Ice Baby being used in Trump Trump Baby, Amber Rose received a lot of backlash and was trolled for being a part of the pro-Trump anthem. Amber Rose isn't rapping in the anthem but is seen wearing a MAGA hat with a matching MAGA chain.
