American rapper Sean "Diddy" Combs was captured assaulting his then-partner Cassie Ventura in a 2016 video. Now, his most recent ex-girlfriend Yung Miami is being criticized for her affiliation with the artist.

Combs and Yung ended their relationship in November 2023, when Cassie filed a lawsuit against the mogul. She alleged that the 54-year-old r*ped and physically abused her over the course of their relationship.

Yung, whose real name is Caresha Romeka Brownlee, initially faced backlash when the news of the lawsuit went viral, with people urging her to leave Combs.

She has come under fire again as CNN released surveillance footage from a Los Angeles hotel room that showed Diddy punching and kicking Cassie as she tried to leave.

Netizens began claiming that Yung Miami's association with the rapper might ruin her entire career.

Combs officially confirmed his relationship with Miami back in June 2022. However, he has been named a defendant in several s*xual abuse lawsuits since late 2023.

By April 2023, Yung Miami told The Cut that they did not have a title in their relationship and claimed to be friends. She said:

"We’re still good friends. But we’re single. That’s not my man. We had our own situation, I’m not gonna put a title on it."

It is unclear how long that split actually lasted, as per the Miami Herald. The two discussed their physical relationship and life together on the first episode of Combs’ Love Radio podcast with Apple Music in September 2023.

Meanwhile, Cassie sued Diddy in federal court on November 16, 2023.

Diddy and Yung Miami confirmed that they were no longer in a relationship in November 2023. However, Caresha has come under fire again, for allegedly still having ties with the rapper. Fans began criticizing the rapper for reportedly associating with Sean Combs, calling him an "abuser".

Other netizens called out other fans for being more upset with Caresha than with the rapper himself.

The surveillance video of Combs and Cassie was released by CNN on Friday, May 17, 2024. The footage was from March 5, 2016, where the pair is seen in the hallway of the now-closed InterContinental Hotel in Century City, Los Angeles.

The video showed Ventura exiting a hotel room and walking to the elevators as Combs chased her down while wearing a towel. He then threw her to the floor and kicked her twice.

The video also showed Diddy dragging Cassie with her sweatshirt and seemingly throwing objects in her direction. Ventura’s attorney, Douglas H. Wigdor, spoke about the footage saying:

"The gut-wrenching video has only further confirmed the disturbing and predatory behavior of Mr. Combs. Words cannot express the courage and fortitude that Ms. Ventura has shown in coming forward to bring this to light."

The particular incident has been mentioned in Cassie's 2023 lawsuit. The complaint was settled in November of the same year, however, details of the settlement have not been mentioned to the public.

The singer and Sean met when she was 19 and he was 37. She was signed under the rapper's label Bad Boy Records and Sean teamed up with Ryan Leslie, to record Cassie's self-titled debut studio album in 2006. The couple had an off-and-on relationship from 2007 to 2018.

Cassie has refused to make a comment about the clip. Sean Combs had previously denied all allegations against him by Ventura.

Yung Miami has not yet responded to the recent backlash against her over the Sean Combs and Cassie Ventura assault video.
