In a recent appearance on the Crysis Queen podcast, singer and reality TV personality Aubrey O’Day shared her experiences of working under Sean Combs during the making of the MTV reality series Making the Band in 2005. While the episode is yet to be released, Daily Mail got an early peek into it.

Aubrey O’Day claimed Diddy, the executive producer on the show, “groomed” her and tried to control her looks when she was only 21 years old.

“With Diddy, I saw multiple… sides of him… But I don’t know who I was even talking to that was sober… there was always an element of something going on,” she shared, as per Daily Mail.

Aubrey O’Day also claimed that Combs’ “grooming” was part of his abuse cycle, which she later realized when he allegedly “forbade” her from befriending a “certain very big-name person.” The former Danity Kane member claimed Diddy was also involved with the said person, and she subsequently learned about the person’s “experience” with the mogul.

Exploring Aubrey O’Day’s recent alleged comments on Diddy

Daily Mail obtained Aubrey O’Day’s remarks on Diddy from the unreleased episode of Renee Graziano’s Crysis Queen podcast. As per the outlet, Aubrey shared how she auditioned for Making the Band and eventually became “the s*xy face one,” as Combs made her the “looker of the band.”

“[Combs] is on camera saying how much he hates it, but he’s off-camera telling me all the ways I needed to be groomed properly, like down to my toenails,” Aubrey O’Day reportedly mentioned.

The Between Two Evils singer claimed that she was sent out of the studio one day because Diddy found out that her toes weren’t “properly polished,” which made her understand the “dynamics change” and focus on how he “approached” her on camera.

“After coming off of Diddy, there’s not many people you can go into a room with and get that type of high from… Grooming is a process, they don’t just abuse you on day one,” O’Day shared.

She seemingly explained how Combs made sure he made her “feel comfortable” before changing his behavior, comparing his process to that in the “military” or breaking down before building back up.

Elsewhere, Aubrey O’Day alleged that “there are way more victims” of the 54-year-old rapper and said they would soon come forward as the ongoing federal case progressed. She also mentioned how Diddy’s arrest was “justice” for “women all over the world.”

Looking at Aubrey O’Day’s other allegations against Diddy over the years

Ahead of Sean Combs’ arrest, Aubrey O’Day appeared on the Off the Vine podcast and shared how the lawsuit brought by Casandra “Cassie” Ventura against Diddy in November 2023 changed her life. When the host, Kaitlyn Bristowe, asked her whether she had processed everything that happened, she responded that she was “nowhere near processing.”

“It’s all still very ongoing. Everything is. It’s very chaotic. It’s very emotional and stressful, and every day there’s a new little twist and turn. I can’t really talk about any of it right now,” Aubrey O’Day shared.

She further explained that even though she wanted to “run” her mouth “heavy,” she couldn’t, as an “investigation” was ongoing, and she was still processing her “trauma.” Back then, she also claimed that she was “groomed” on the sets of Making the Band and called its environment “toxic.”

“I was so young and so many things were put on me. I was fired on national television for being overly raunchy and promiscuous. That’s actually like wrongful termination. That’s a lawsuit against a lot of people,” Aubrey shared.

O’Day explained how she couldn’t “fight” as the whole thing was beyond the statute of limitations. She also mentioned how, at the time, she didn’t confide in anyone about her experiences and “normalized a lot of wild-a*s s**t.” However, she hoped that one day she would be able to tell her side of the story as she didn’t want to “die with a bunch of secrets in me.”

In April 2024, the San Francisco native also claimed that Diddy tried to “silence” her by offering her publishing rights last year alongside an NDA. However, she turned down the offer.

Meanwhile, last year, during her appearance on the Call Her Daddy podcast, she claimed she was fired from Danity Kane in 2008 as it was signed to Diddy’s Bad Boy Records label. She claimed she was terminated for not doing “what was expected” of her “not talent-wise but in other areas.”

Following Diddy’s arrest, Aubrey O’Day told TMZ that she never thought she would see this day but felt "validated" and "vindictive" that it was finally here. She also took to her Instagram Story and shared an expose song she wrote in 2013 about Diddy, seemingly titled, There’s No Escape.

Earlier this week, she also shared that last week had been therapeutic. She thanked everyone who lent her a “safe space” and offered solidarity to those who felt “unprotected” but wished to speak up.
