On December 7, 2024, Evelyn Lozada took to Instagram to address rumors about Jayceon Terrell Taylor, aka The Game, fathering her daughter Shaniece Hairston's son. Evelyn posted a picture of her grandson Blaze Taylor with a heartfelt caption and tagged her daughter and the My Life rapper on the post, confirming that he is the father of her grandchild.

Evelyn's caption read:

"This little blue-eyed angel made me a grandma, and I’m forever grateful! 🥹❤️You’ve brought so much joy into my life that words can’t even explain. I love you more than anything, Blaze Taylor! 🍼✨ #GrandmaLove #ForeverGrateful #BlazeTaylor"

Netizens were quick to react to Evelyn's confirmation, given there had been a lot of controversy surrounding The Game being Tiffany Cambridge's ex-fiancée, supposedly Evelyn Lozada's good friend. However, in August 2024, Evelyn denied being friends with Cambridge.

Commenting on the close age gap between the baby's father and Evelyn, an internet user said:

"The Game is 45....Evelyn is 48.....yo daddy the same age as your grandma."

Some internet users commented on the Dreams rapper ex-fiancée Tiffany Cambridge being friends with Evelyn, calling the situation "nasty work."

However, some also supported Evelyn's daughter Shaniece Hairston, stating she was in her 30s and was capable of making her own decisions.

"It’ll just be interesting to parent at this age": The Game commented on expecting his fourth child

During an interview with The Shade Room dated August 3, 2024, The Game shared that he was expecting his fourth child and that welcoming a baby in his 40s had led him to think about aging as a parent. At that time, the rapper didn't reveal that he was having his fourth child with Shaniece Hairston.

Commenting on becoming a father for the fourth time, The Game said that "it's going to be a different parenting experience" as compared to when he was young. He said that when he was young, he was hardheaded and in the streets.

The All Eyez rapper mentioned:

“I don’t know how I even made it to this point in my life doing the things that I was doing, but I made it. My kids are all fine, smart, straight A students and good, so it’ll just be interesting to parent at this age.”

Talking about aging as a parent, the rapper said that he thinks about it "in terms of years." Giving an example, he said that he is 44, so when his fourth child will be 21, he will turn 65, which seems old. However, the Smile rapper said that the age seems old until one starts thinking about people who are 65 at present, naming Jay-Z and Mariah Carey, stating their next big birthday is "probably 60," and yet they are out there looking young and cool.

On November 18, 2024, Evelyn Lozada's daughter Shaniece Hairston told Life & Style that she gave birth to a boy, adding that she was waiting for an interview with the channel to share the news.

Apart from his son with Shaniece, The Game has three children: his oldest son, Harlem; his middle child, King Justice; and his daughter, Cali Dream.
