Comedian and actor Kevin Hart recently distanced himself from questions related to Sean “Diddy” Combs and his prior association with him. Last week, the Let Me Explain star was on his way to dinner with his wife Eniko Hart when Daily Mail reporters asked him whether he recalled noticing baby oil bottles at Diddy’s home when he “hosted parties” for him.

In response, Kevin Hart, who was heading for LAVO Restaurant in West Hollywood claimed:

“When I hosted for Diddy? You’re asking the wrong person the wrong question.”

Not only did the 45-year-old comedian dismiss his involvement in Combs’ infamous parties, but he also sidestepped when asked for his opinion on the Bad Boy Records founder's safety in prison.

“Wrong person, wrong question,” he further replied, before moving on with his wife and bodyguard.

Kevin Hart’s refusal to comment on Diddy-related matters comes amid the hip-hop mogul’s ongoing legal troubles, including arrest and federal indictment last month.

Video featuring Kevin Hart at one of Diddy’s alleged parties has gone viral

Sean Combs was taken into federal custody on September 16 from New York City’s Park Hyatt Hotel following a grand jury indictment. He is currently facing three felony charges including racketeering conspiracy, s*x trafficking by force, fraud, or coercion, and transportation to engage in prostitution.

In the wake of his arrest and federal indictment, several videos have surfaced online, reportedly from Diddy’s infamous parties. One such video allegedly featured Kevin Hart sitting next to a bathtub while holding up a microphone and speaking to the camera. Two women surrounded him, one seated next to the comedian wearing a scantily-clad outfit, while the other was sitting inside the bathtub wearing a bikini. However, the second woman’s hair suddenly caught fire from one of the candles around the bathtub.

Kevin Hart allegedly asked the person shooting the video to “cut” before the clip moved on to what appeared to be a few minutes later when the Laugh At My Pain star was seen assuring the woman and joking about proper safety measures being taken. Subsequently, the Philadelphia native was seen reportedly engaging in a tirade using the n-word while standing next to Diddy, who was holding a drink.

Another video also surfaced online, reportedly showing the Primetime Emmy winner standing next to a bed, with Diddy warning him not to come any closer while sipping champagne.

"If we can, let's just move the camera a little this way. I don't want my shot to even come close to the bed at all," Hart was heard saying.

The crew appeared to follow Kevin’s supposed instructions and moved in his direction. At one point, the camera captured an alleged silver s*x toy lying on the bed, as the comedian was seen interviewing Combs and R&B singer Usher. Whether the said video was from one of Diddy’s now-infamous alleged “freak off” parties remains unconfirmed.

For those unaware, “freak offs” were defined as “elaborate s*x performances” on Diddy’s unsealed grand jury indictment, as part of which young and often underaged girls were reportedly compelled through “force, threats… and coercion, to cause victims to engage in extended s*x acts." Prosecutors have now accused the disgraced rapper of hosting such parties and watching or recording “freak offs,” often without the knowledge of the female victims.

Meanwhile, during the raids at Sean Combs’ Miami and Los Angeles homes in May 2024 as part of a Homeland Security Investigation, federal authorities seized what are now being referred to as “freak off supplies,” including at least 1000 bottles of baby oil, lubricants, as well as “controlled substances… extra linens, and lightings.” Among other things that were seized were guns and ammunition such as three AR-15s.

Currently, the Love Album maker is being held without bond at the Metropolitan Detention Center under “procedural” suicide watch, awaiting trial. On September 17 arraignment at the Manhattan Federal Court, he pled “not guilty” but was still denied bail twice as prosecutors argued he was a “serious flight risk.” If convicted, he will face 15 years to life in federal prison. He is set to appear before court next on October 9.

As for Kevin Hart, he recently announced the sudden closure of his Los Angeles-based vegan fast-food chain Hart House alongside four other southern California outlets. He wrote on Instagram how it was a "Hartfelt goodbye" and the start of a "new chapter," but did not cite any reason for the shutdown. Online speculations are rife that the move may have been related to Diddy's arrest.
