American singer and actress Halle Bailey recently took to Instagram on July 23, 2024, to share an acoustic cover of Sabrina Carpenter's viral track Please Please Please. The caption of Halle's post read:

Halle's fans shared their appreciation for her version of the currently viral track via social media platforms like X (formerly Twitter) wherein one of her fans tweeted:

Halle Bailey's acoustic version of Sabrina Carpenter's Please Please Please earned praise not only from fans but also from Sabrina. Sabrina Carpenter took to the comment section of Halle's Instagram post of the song and praised her voice commenting:

Sabrina Carpenter also shared Halle's video on her Instagram story with the caption "heart eyes and heart ears."

Halle has been away from making music for quite some time, given she released her first solo album In Pieces in 2023 and her first solo single Angel in the same year. However, the singer and actress announced resuming the process of making music and took to X on June 19, 2024, stating:

In an interview with PEOPLE, dated February 2024, Halle Bailey and her sister Chloe Bailey talked about releasing new music. Chloe Bailey told the publication she and Halle were working on "really exciting things together" and the process of the same has been nostalgic. Chloe also mentioned that making songs with her sister brings them back to their roots, and the duo can't wait to present it to the world.

Adding to what her sister hinted at in terms of new music from the duo's end, Halle Bailey told the publication:
