Her journey began at a very young age influenced by her father, Yakov Korkhin. He introduced her to air pistol shooting when she was nine years old through the Massachusetts Rifle Association Junior Pistol Team.
Ada's dedication to shooting became evident when she started competing in sports pistol at the age of 12. Ada comes from a family with diverse professional backgrounds. Her half-sister Alisa is a professional ballerina, while her other half-sister Anna is a doctor.
Ada’s early education was at the Edward Devotion School which is now known as Florida Ruffin Ridley School. The summer after she graduated in 2019, she traveled to Suhl, Germany, to compete in the International Shooting Sport Federation Junior World Championships. Currently, Ada is a biochemistry student at Ohio State University. Despite her demanding academic schedule, she practices shooting five times a week at the team’s training facility located in the campus ROTC building.
In 2022, Ada secured a silver medal in the Junior Women's 10m Air Pistol event at the Winter Air Gun Championships held at Camp Perry. The same year, she competed in the ISSF World Championships where her team finished in 4th place in the Junior Women’s 10m Air Pistol Team event. In 2023, she won a bronze medal in the Women's 25m Sport Pistol category at the ISSF Junior World Championship. In 2024, Ada achieved a significant milestone by winning the gold medal in the Women's 25m Sport Pistol Team event at the CAT Games.
