Alex Bowen is a professional American Water Polo player. He was born on September 4, 1993, in San Diego, California, United States. His parents are Rod Bowen and Barbara Bowen and has a younger brother named Eric. He represented the country in Water Polo in the 2016 Rio Olympics and 2020 Tokyo Olympics and finished 10th and 6th respectively. He has qualified to represent the country at the 2024 Paris Olympics as well. Besides, he won a gold medal at the 2015 Pan American Games as well.
At present, he plays professionally for Noisy-le-Sec in France and previously has competed for Partizan, Apollon, Miskolci VLC, and Mladost Zagreb in Serbia, Greece, Hungary, and Croatia respectively. He completed his high school at Santana High School, where he was the captain of the Water Polo team and helped the team to win a couple of Grossmont North League titles and Grossmont Valley League titles. He attended college Stanford University, where he scored more than 200 goals in Water Polo, and was a NCAA 1st Team All-American for all four years of his collegiate career.
