Amanda Golini Parents

Amanda Magadan is an American professional field hockey midfielder and a co-captain of the United States Women's National Team. Born on March 28, 1995, in Randolph, New Jersey, she began playing field hockey in 2009 and joined the USWNT in 2017, making 132 appearances for the national team. She played for Randolph High School and the Rapid Fire Elite club team. Later, she attended Lafayette College, where she majored in Economics and Psychology.

Amanda won a gold medal at the 2017 World League semifinals in Johannesburg. She achieved silver at the 2024 FIH Hockey Olympic Qualifier in Ranchi, India. She also earned silver at the 2023 Pan American Games. Amanda has two bronze medals to her name - the 2019 Pan American Games and the 2017 Pan American Cup. Additionally, Amanda was named to the Pan American Elite Team in 2022 and 2023. In June 2024, she qualified for the 2024 Summer Olympics and will compete as a co-captain of the U.S. National Team. Amanda Golini’s former name is Amanda Magadan. She was born to Aldo and Silvia Magadan.

Amanda’s parents are Aldo and Silvia Magadan. He has two brothers Nicholas and Christopher. Amanda initially played softball but switched to hockey in grade 9 at Randolph High School. She decided to try field hockey because she loved sports and wanted to meet new people in high school. Soon, she progressed in the sport and recorded 31 goals and 11 assists as a senior.

After high school, she went to Lafayette College, where she graduated in 2017 with a degree in Psychology and Economics. Amanda was chosen to play both softball and hockey in her college. However, she decided to focus on field hockey at Lafayette College. She saw great success in her NCAA career with several honors.

Amanda joined the U.S International Team in 2017 where she won a bronze medal at the Pan American Cup. She was not qualified for the 2021 Olympics. From 2019 to 2020, she started working as a realtor when she was not busy playing hockey.

Amanda is all set to compete in the 2024 Summer Olympics as a co-captain for the team. Her family and husband will support her at her first Olympics. She is proud to be the first national field hockey player from Lafayette College and its first Olympian.
