Born on October 26, 2005, Caity Simmers grew up surrounded by the ocean. Moreover, her parents instilled a love for surfing in her from a young age, and it wasn't long before her natural ability and passion for riding waves shone through. By the time she was a child, Caity was already competing in local competitions and was making waves in the surfing community.

Since turning professional in 2018, Simmers has attained notable success, this includes winning the WSL Rookie of the Year in 2011 and being the US Open Surfing Champion. She has also earned three WSL Championship Tour wins to date.

Caitlin Simmers attended Coastal Academy High School (CAH), in her hometown of Oceanside, California.

As a student-athlete at Coastal Academy High School (CAH), Caitlin consistently impressed those around her. But Simmers' talents extend far beyond the schoolyard. In March of 2023, while still a junior, she accomplished something truly extraordinary. Simmers took first place at the MEO Rip Curl Pro Portugal, a major stop on the world-renowned World Surf League (WSL) Championship Tour. This was her first major win on the WSL circuit, and launched her into a tie for second place in the global rankings.
