The U.S. Olympic Swimming Team's open training session was graced by the presence of Coach Michael Krzyzewski, who delivered an inspiring speech, egging on the elite athletes ahead of the 2024 Paris Olympics. The open training session welcomed around a thousand fans to watch the Olympians heading toward the sport's most glorious event.

Krzyzewski, also known as Coach K, led the United States Basketball team to Olympic glory during the 2008 Beijing Games, 2012 London Games, and the 2016 Rio Games. Moreover, he played a crucial role as an assistant coach of the teams that secured Olympic gold medals at the 1984 Los Angeles Games and 1992 Barcelona Games.

During his speech, Coach K reflected on how he assembled the 2008 Olympics gold medal-winning team, also known as "The Redeem Team." In an interview with The News and Observer, Lindsey Mintenko, the director of the USA swimming team shared the inspiring experience of talking with Coach K.

“When I was talking with Coach K in the process, it gave me chills,” Mintenko said. “It got me choked up to hear him talk about the process and what being part of Team USA means. I was inspired, and I hope everyone else in the room was as well.”

The open training session was held on Saturday at the Triangle Aquatic Center in Cary, North Carolina.
