American professional rock climber Colin Duffy was born on December 10, 2003, and specializes in competitive climbing. Notably, he became the youngest climber to earn a spot in the 2020 Summer Olympic Games in Tokyo at the age of 17.
At the age of fifteen in 2019, Duffy completed two 5.14c (8c+) graded sport climbing routes at the Red River Gorge, Pure Imagination, and Southern Smoke, as well as the 5.14a (8b+) graded sport route Omaha Beach, in a single day. Two days later, he completed the 5.14a (8b+) route of God's Own Stone. Notably, Duffy placed second in the 2019 IFSC Climbing World Youth Championships after winning the event twice in 2017 and 2018.
