Gabby Thomas is one of America's biggest track and field stars, having returned from the Paris Olympics with three gold medals. Recently, the sprinter reacted to a piece of advice Angel Reese shared with fans, showing her approval of the WNBA star's words.
Thomas and Reese are two of the biggest names in their respective sports and have always been quick to show their support for each other. When the former dominated the track at the 2024 Games, the Chicago Sky rookie was quick to extend her congratulations.
Later, the two showed their support for each other at the 38th annual Footwear News Achievement Awards. Reese labeled Thomas ‘Literally a BEAUTY’ on Instagram, while the sprinter called the basketball player a "living example you can do ANYTHING you dream of.”
Now, the two have starred together in Vogue Magazine’s latest photoshoot and are as supportive of each other as ever. On Wednesday (January 8), Angel Reese wrote on X,
“Show up as yourself even if it makes others uncomfortable.”
Replying to this, Gabby Thomas wrote,
“🎯 Wish I had heard this advice sooner!!”
Gabby Thomas thanks her team as she stars on the cover of Vogue
For Gabby Thomas, 2024 has been an incredible year, on and off the track. After her latest achievement of appearing on the cover of Vogue Magazine, the American was quick to extend her thanks to her team. Taking to X, she expressed her gratefulness for her coach, publicist, physiotherapist, and fellow sprinters, writing,
“I’m so grateful for my amazing team who guides me on and off the track! I don’t know where I would be without them. Coach (who I literally spend the most time with), agents, publicist, physio, training partners. In our sport, who you select to have around you is truly make or break. The environment is everything. And I got so lucky with mine 🙏🏽.”
Gabby Thomas’ 2024 began with a victory at the New Balance Indoor Grand Prix. From there, she would go on to win the 100m and 200m at the Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays, as well as the 400m at the LSU Alumni Gold. Up next, the sprinter helped Team USA to a top-of-the-podium finish at the World Relays in the Bahamas, before running into a small rough patch.
She was back to her winning ways in June, dominating the USATF New York Grand Prix, the US Olympic Trials, and the London Diamond League. Gabby Thomas then went on to compete at the Paris Olympics, where she won gold in the 200m, 4x100m, and 4x400m races.
