American archer Jack Williams was born in Irvine, California, on April 22, 2000. He is the first-ever archer to attain victory at the Hyundai Archery World Cup Final in 2021 after competing at the event as a host representative. Williams is a one-time Olympian (2020 Tokyo Olympics) and a one-time silver medalist at the 2021 World Archery Championships.
The American archer is also a one-time gold medalist (2018 Medellin Pan American Championships) and a five-time bronze medalist (2019, 2022, and 2024 Pan American Championships) in recurve archery.
He grew up in Southern California as an aspiring fencer and picked up archery after that. He got his first Olympic-style recurve bow at the age of 13, which was the beginning of his archery career. He took the first step by taking classes at the Orange County Archery in Mission Viejo, California.
Jack Williams competed at the Las Vegas Archery Festival 2015, and grabbed the third position while competing against 49 top contenders. He attended high school at Woodbridge High School, Irvine, graduating in 2016.
Following this, he entered the Olympic Training Center in Chula, Vista, California under the guidance of coach Kisik Lee, where he also observed renowned archer Brady Ellison. He later joined the US team with Ellison and another Olympian, Jacob Wukie.
