Jacob Wukie High School

Jacob Wukie is a professional American archer. He was born on May 11, 1986, in Massillon, Ohio. He grew up in his hometown of Fremont, Ohio. His parents are John Wukie and Patty Wukie and is one of the four siblings alongside Jesse, Wyatt, and Nathan Wukie. Married to Brianne Pinkerton since 2012, he is also a father to three daughters Aria, Gemma, and Caroline.

Wukie won a Silver Medal at the 2012 London Olympics in the team category, is a four-time All-American, won the US Intercollegiate Archery Championship, a three-time Collegiate World Archery Champion, a Collegiate National Champion, has won two medals at Pan American Championships including one gold, and has also won five medals at World Cup including golds at 2012 Ogden and 2012 Shanghai World Cup in the team category. Besides his passion for archery, Wukie also loves to play foosball and ping pong with his friends and family.

Jacob Wukie attended the Fremont Ross High School, a public high school in his hometown. Besides Jacob Wukie in Archery, the school has produced several accomplished athletes in college football, professional football, boxing, and para-athletics.

Jacob Wukie College Career

Jacob Wukie attended James Madison University for his graduation, which he completed as Class of 2009. He was inducted into the JMU Athletic Hall of Fame in 2023. He is the only JMU alumni besides Carole Thate to feature in multiple Olympics.

In 2005, in his freshman year, he placed 11th in the National Championship and then third in his Sophomore year. In 2007, while he was still a student at JMU, Wukie was named to the US Archery Team and then participated in the World University Games. He did not compete on the collegiate level in the 2008 season after being chosen as an Olympic alternate but then returned the next year.

During his time in college, Wukie became a four-time All-American, won the US Intercollegiate Archery Championships, won the Collegiate World Archery Championships, became an Olympic Alternate in 2008, and won bronze at the Santo Domingo Archery World Cup.
