His father, Geoff Eaton, owns the Kids That Rip (KTR) Skateboard School which has trained numerous junior X Games competitors. Jagger and his older brother Jett began skateboarding at a young age under his father's guidance. Jagger started at just four years old. Their mother, Shelly Schaerer, was a member of the United States national gymnastics team from 1985 to 1989. Eaton's career took off when he was sponsored by DC Shoes as part of their ‘DC Youth Division’ in 2012, alongside junior skater Tom Schaar. His achievements include winning the Tampa Am competition in 2014 and the BoardrAm in Houston in 2015. He secured a bronze medal in Men's Street Skateboarding at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
