Born in Honolulu, Hawaii, a surfer's paradise, John John Florence is an American professional surfer. Moreover, he is known as “ one of the most dominant pipe surfers of his era”. He is also the first Hawaiian surfer to win back-to-back world titles in 2016 and 2017.

John John Florence took to surfing practically from the moment he could walk. His mother forced him into waves, and he soon found a talent for the activity. A few years down the line, he had already created history at the age of 13 by being the youngest competitor in the Vans Triple Crown of Surfing, paving the way for a career full of recognition and a quick ascension in the world of competitive surfing.

Florence made his World Surf League (WSL) Championship Tour debut in 2011 and has gone on to become a two-time World Champion and a five-time triple Crown of Surfing Champion. He also took part in the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo.
