Kathryn Rose Plummer is an American professional volleyball player who was born on October 16, 1998, in Aliso Viejo, California. She is an outside hitter for both the United States women’s national volleyball team and the Turkish club Eczacıbaşı Dynavit.

Plummer's volleyball journey began at Aliso Niguel High School where she excelled and graduated in 2016. Her exceptional talent drew early attention with her first scholarship offer arriving in the 7th grade. Opting for Stanford on a full athletic scholarship, she played a pivotal role in securing NCAA national championships in 2016, 2018, and 2019. Plummer was named to the NCAA all-tournament team each year and received the Most Outstanding Player award in 2018 and 2019. She also earned National Freshman of the Year by the AVCA and was named National Player of the Year in 2017 and 2018.

Plummer's professional career began on December 30, 2019, with Italy's Saugella Team Monza. She made an impactful Serie A debut on January 19, 2020, scoring 9 points as a substitute. Her standout performances continued, leading Monza to the Coppa Italia final four. Subsequent seasons saw Plummer with Japan's Denso Airybees (2020-2021) and Italy's Imoco Volley (2021-2024), before joining Turkey's Eczacıbaşı Dynavit in 2024.

Internationally, Plummer's prowess was evident as she led Team USA with 14 kills and two blocks in her debut at the 2021 FIVB Volleyball Nations League. Although an alternate for the 2020 Summer Olympics, she secured a spot on the 2024 Olympic team, further solidifying her status as a volleyball luminary. She was named to the Olympic team for the 2024 Summer Olympics.

Her height also allows her to reach higher above the net making her an effective blocker. Plummer can shut down opponents' attacks by reaching over the net and blocking shots contributing significantly to her team's defense.
