Kennedy Blades is an emerging star in the world of wrestling, studying at Arizona State University. The native of Chicago, Illinois, has become a standout in wrestling at just 20 years old. She made history in Illinois by being the first female wrestler to win a state wrestling title against boys. At 17, she nearly made the Olympic team, finishing as runner-up in the 68-kg Olympic Trials. She defeated Forrest Molinari, a two-time Senior-level World team member, before facing Tamyra Mensah-Stock, the 2019 World Champion and eventual 2020 Olympic gold medalist, in the finals where she finished as the runner-up.


Internationally, she won gold at the 2021 Junior World Championships and silver at the 2023 U20 World Championships. Blades is currently pursuing her Olympics wrestling dreams at Sunkist Kids RTC while attending Arizona University. She has been selected for the 2024 U.S. Olympic Team Trials. Blades aspires to win gold for the USA at the 2024 Summer Olympics, in Paris.
