American boxer Morelle McCane won a silver medal at the Pan American Games in Santiago, 2023, to earn a spot in the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris. Her qualification for the latter makes her the first female boxer from Cleveland, Ohio. She started boxing at the age of 17 at a neighbourhood gym with her niece while she was a senior at Glenville High School.

McCane was born on January 20, 1995. She enjoys eating tacos, listening to Drake, watching the Cleveland Cavaliers, and watching the Lion King. Also, Muhammad Ali is one of her favourite boxers.

McCane won the first National Golden Gloves in 2018, the Western Elite Qualifier, and second place at the 2018 Elite National Championships in just one year after she started playing the sport. Her coaches are Terrence Montgomery and Marlon "Push" Davis from the Bob Davis Boxing Club.

After winning the 2019 Last Chance Qualifier, McCane placed third at the Strandja Tournament. She won the USA Boxing Elite National Championships in 2020, and at the U.S. Olympic Trials, she placed second. Further, she won the 2022 National Golden Gloves, the 2020 and 2022 USA Boxing Elite titles, and more.
