Nevin Harrison is a Professional American sprint canoeist born on June 2, 2002, in Seattle, Washington. She speaks Spanish fluently which she started speaking at age five. Nevin lived in Kobe, Japan, for six months while she was eight. She attended Roosevelt High School, where she was a sprinter. She has an injury and was diagnosed with Hip Dysplasia, which made her quit being a sprinter. The following year, at the ICF Olympic Hopes Regatta in Poznan, Poland, she secured the gold medals in both the C-1 500 meters and 200 meters.
In 2019, Nevin switched Teams to the Lanier Canoe and Kayak Club Racing Team in Gainesville, Georgia. In the USA Team Trials in Oklahoma City, she won the senior and junior C-1 1000 meters, 500 meters, and 200 meters. That same year, she made history by winning a gold medal in the C-1 200 meters at the Canoe Sprint World Championships, this made her the first American to win a World Championship in sprint canoe.
