Simone Biles received a heartfelt message from her lookalike sister Adria Biles following her win at the Paris Olympics. Biles became the most decorated gymnast after winning her eighth Olympic medal at the 2024 Summer Games.
The American gymnast stunned with her stellar performance on day 4 of the Paris Olympics. She finished the team all-around finals with the leading score in the floor exercise.
She also performed in the vault, uneven bars, and balance beam, alongside her teammates Jordan Chiles, Suni Lee, and Jade Carey. The team won gold and trounced Italy and Brazil, who secured second and third place, respectively.
After the win, Biles received heartfelt messages from her close ones, such as her husband and family. One notable message was from her sister, Adria Biles, who took to her Instagram story to congratulate and compliment her. She posted a picture of her and Biles and wrote:
"You deserve the entire world. 3rd time around and I'm still in awe of you. I love you."
Both sisters have been close with each other since the very beginning and are frequently mistaken for being twins. Simone Biles plays a motherly role in Adria's life, as they spent three years in foster care.
Simone Biles opens up about her bond with her sister, Adria Biles
Simone Biles recently reflected on her bond with Adria Biles. She shared the time she spent as a child and revealed that she always wanted to take care of her sister (as quoted by Hello!):
"I wanted to take care of Adria obviously because she was the baby," Simone Biles said. "I just felt like I needed to look out for her because if family doesn't look out for you, who's going to?"
Adria Biles was also initially interested in gymnastics and started practicing gymnastics at the age of nine. However, she left the sport in 2016 and took up dancing with Shooting Stars, which is the professional dance team of Houston's baseball team. She revealed her story of trying little tricks with Simone Biles as a kid.
"My sister has always been fearless," said Adria Biles. "When we were little kids, we'd stand on a railing on the second floor of our house, then jump off onto the couch down below on the first floor. She'd go first, and I'd follow. Nothing scared her."
Biles will now compete in the finals of individual events at the Paris Olympics, which is currently underway and will conclude on August 11.
