Jordan Chiles attended the 2024 US Open women's semifinal matches held on September 6, 2024, at the Arthur Ashe Stadium. The American gymnast was stripped of her Olympic bronze medal following a ruling from the Court of Arbitration of Sports.
During the 2024 Paris Olympics, Chiles initially secured fifth place in the individual floor event; however, after an appeal made by her coach, Cecile Landi, Chiles was awarded third place, replacing Romanian gymnast Ana Barbosu.
However following a ruling by the Court of Arbitration of Sports, the gymnast was stripped of her medal and was awarded back to Barbosu as CAS announced that Landi's appeal reportedly came 47 seconds late; hence, the decision made by the judges in favor of Chiles wasn't applicable.
Weeks after the controversy, Chiles was seen attending the US Open semifinal match between Jessica Pegula and Karolina Muchova, where the former ousted the Czech 1-6, 6-4, 6-2. US Open shared the video of Chiles on Instagram, with the caption:
"Spotted: @jordanchiles cheering on the women semifinalists tonight."

After being stripped of her Olympic medal, Jordan Chiles took to her Instagram and expressed her disappointment at the outcome of . Chiles said that it was "devastating" for her and also expressed dismay about hateful comments on social media that she received.
"While celebrating my Olympic accomplishments, I heard the devastating news that my bronze medal had been stripped away. I had confidence in the appeal brought by USAG, who gave conclusive evidence that my score followed all the rules. This appeal was unsuccessful,"Chiles wrote.
She added:
"I have no words. This decision feels unjust and comes as a significant blow, not just to me, but to everyone who has championed my journey. To add to the heartbreak, the unprompted racially driven attacks on social media are wrong and extremely hurtful. I've poured my heart and soul into this sport and I am so proud to represent my culture and my country."
Jordan Chiles will now feature in the Gold Over America Tour alongside Simone Biles. The tour, making a return after three years, is slated to begin on September 17th and will conclude on November 3rd.
