For Tara Davis-Woodhall, her move to Kansas has included being welcomed as part of a community, which is a feeling that she cherishes. Speaking to WIBW, the American explained that she ‘loves the sense of belonging’ that comes with her new role, saying,

“I am a community person. I love a nice community, and I love the sense of belonging. So to be extremely welcomed this way, it feels good. They see me for me, and they see me for my personality, and not what I can do on the track either, so that’s really cool.”

In a separate interview with KSHB 41, Davis-Woodhall opened up on her targets as a coach, explaining,

“I'm hoping that I could bring an older sister to these athletes. I am going to coach, but I also want to be a mentor for them.”
