American gymnastics icon Simone Biles was spotted wearing a Chicago Bears sweater to support her husband Jonathan Owens during his recent game against the Los Angeles Rams. This comes after the Olympian garnered criticism from NFL fans after she wore a Green Bay Packers jacket to a Bears game, which was also held in recent times.

Biles received a lot of flak from the NFL community after she chose to wear a Bay Packers jacket during the Bears' preseason game against the Cincinnati Bengals on August 17. The 27-year-old was even warned by her friends against wearing the jacket of a team that her husband no longer plays for.

Following the backlash, the 11-time Olympic medalist stated in an interview with TMZ that she now has plenty of Chicago Bears outfits ready for the upcoming games.

"Yes, I have plenty [of Bears gear] now. so, don't you worry, guys!" she said.

More recently, Biles was spotted at the Chicago Bears versus Los Angeles Rams game during week four of the ongoing NFL season at Soldier Field on Sunday, September 29. In a story shared by the gymnast on her Instagram, she could be seen wearing a Bears sweater, a white skirt, knee-high boots, and a Balenciaga Paris bag, while sharing a kiss with her husband, Jonathan Owens.

Barstool Sports owner Dave Portnoy was also one of the critics who questioned Simone Biles' outfit choice during the Packers game, and he noted that it would have infuriated him also if he were a Bears fan. He said this during an August episode of his BFFs podcast.

"This would infuriate me if I was a Bears fan... Bears-Packers are the Hatfields and McCoys of the NFL, Red Sox-Yankees. So you go to a Bears game on their sideline wearing their archrival's jacket, not the greatest. People are mad about it," he said. [37:05 onwards]

Away from this issue, Biles has captivated fans with her Gold Over America Tour, which followed the Paris Olympics. This tour brought American and international gymnasts under the same roof.
