Quincy Wilson was honored at Camden Yards, throwing the ceremonial first pitch ahead of the Baltimore Orioles game. The 16-year-old runner became the youngest male track and field athlete from the USA to win an Olympic gold medal in the men's 4x400m relay at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
Days after this accomplishment, the Virginia native was at Camden Yards, donning the Orioles' jersey. He was part of the pre-game ceremony for the match between the Orioles and Houston Astros.
Wilson wasn't the only Olympian on the field; he shared the honor with other Olympians such as wrestler Kyle Snyder, skateboarder Ruby Lilley, and boxer Jahmal Harvey. Citius Mag shared the video of Wilson throwing the pitch on Instagram and wrote in the caption:
"The summer of @quincy_wilson continues with a stop at Camden Yards to throw out the first pitch!"
Wilson ran the first leg of the heats of the 4x400m relay event; however, he wasn't a part of the team that ran in the final. Rai Benjamin, Chris Bailey, Vernon Norwood, and Bryce Deadmon ran the finals and clocked 2:54.43 to claim a gold medal for Team USA. Wilson played a role in helping the team qualify for the finals, which resulted in him clinching gold at the Paris Olympics.
Quincy Wilson also recently showcased his stellar skills as a football player on his high school team. The American was seen running impressively with the football toward the touchdown area.
