Alica Schmidt kicked off the holiday season by decorating her Christmas tree, a tradition she joyfully shared with her followers. After traveling to Switzerland in December, she returned home to embrace the festive spirit and prepare for the upcoming holidays.

The German track and field athlete specializes in the 400m and 4x400m relay. Her breakthrough came in 2019 when she helped the German relay team secure silver at the World Championships. While Schmidt competed in the 2020 and 2024 Olympics, she did not earn any medals.

Set against a cozy backdrop, the 26-year-old posted a video of herself decorating, adding a festive touch with the classic song "It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year" in the background. She highlighted her excitement for the season, as she wrote:

This year, Schmidt's travel included destinations like Paris, the Bahamas, Italy, Thailand, and the Maldives, with Switzerland adding a memorable chapter to her journey.

Post 2024 Paris Olympics, Alica Schmidt recently took a break from her intense training schedule to unwind in the French Alps, sharing glimpses of her time with fans on Instagram.

In one of the posts, the 26-year-old shared a video of herself taking an ice bath in the snow-covered mountains. Along with the video she wrote:

"From training in South Africa straight into having an ice bath in the French Alps."

After an eventful season, Schmidt shared updates from her year in another post. Looking back on 2024, she shared her journey with fans, offering a glimpse into her travels and personal growth. She wrote in her Instagram post:

"It's been quite a year. It was filled with so many highlights and I made some memories that will last forever: From the world relays in the Bahamas, where we qualified the mixed relay for the Olympics, to the European championships in Rome, where we qualified the women's 4x400m for Paris to the German nationals and of course: THE Olympics. "

Schmidt shared her excitement about stepping out of her comfort zone. She ran the 800m and 600m and decided to focus on them after the Paris Olympics. She revealed plans to join an international 800m group at a high-altitude training camp, aiming to learn from their athletes.

While also running the 400m, her focus will be on building endurance in her training, marking the beginning of a new chapter in her athletic journey.
