Alica Schmidt recently shared a few glimpses of an ice bath in the French Alps after a month-long high-altitude training in South Africa. Following her Paris Olympics appearance and a long vacation, the German sprinter was seen training in the rainbow nation for the upcoming season.
Schmidt embarked on a long trip to Thailand, Italy, and Maldives to delight in the off-season. Soon after the conclusion of her vacation, the German returned to training in the subtropical highland of Dullstroom Mpumalanga in South Africa.
Following the month-long grueling training period, she was seen embarking on a vacation in the French Alps. During her quick getaway, she also underwent an ice bath, glimpses of which, she shared with her fans.
Schmidt was seen donning a black sports bra and shorts for the ice bath. In one of the videos shared by her, the German athlete was seen immersing herself in the icy waters, surrounded by the awe-inspiring beauty of the French Alps.
Further, the 28-year-oldsprinter was also seen enjoying in the snow with fellow athletes and was seen training on a treadmill. Sharing glimpses of her trip she wrote in the caption:
"From training in South Africa straight into having an ice bath in the French Alps ❄️🏔️."

Alica Schmidt gave an update on her performance following her month-long training in the French Alps.
While nearing the conclusion of the first training camp since her second appearance at the Olympics, the German track athlete stated that the training camp was productive and she had a positive experience, with noticeable progress in her training.
"First training camp of the season is almost completed," the Paris Olympian wrote. "It was a really good camp and made some good progression 📈"
The 26-year-old represented the German squad at the French capital in the 4x400m mixed relay event. The squad, including herself, along with teammates Paul Bredau, Manuel Sanders, and Eileen Demes, settled in seventh place in the heats round after clocking a time of 3:15.63.
They fell short of earning the spot for the final showdown. She also competed in the women's 4x400m relay event at the 2024 Olympic Games, where Germany failed to qualify for the final.
