Alica Schmidt recently shared a few glimpses of late-night lactic sessions as she is gearing up for the 2025 season. Schmidt traveled to Potchefstroom, South Africa, to attend her first training camp for the upcoming season.
Schmidt began her training session for the upcoming season in October 2024, which included a high-endurance training camp. This was followed by a brief getaway, where the German sprinter was seen delighting in the holiday vibes with her friends and family.
Following the festive celebration, she returned to track in South Africa, where she was recently seen attending a pretty intense late-night lactic session with her fellow trainees. She shared a few glimpses from the latest session, referring to it as the "hardest" one so far.
Schmidt stated that the intense session left her unable to stand for 30 minutes due to exhaustion. However, overseeing the strenuous session, she exhibited a positive mindset, showing her readiness for another lactic session in the coming week.
The German athlete was also seen flaunting her Olympic Ring tattoo for the first time, which she got inked on her lower right hip to commemorate her Paris Games appearance.
"Late night lactic sessions ✨ actually today was one of the hardest workouts ever, I couldn’t manage to stand up for 30min 🫠 but that‘s part of the game and I can’t wait for the next one on Saturday 🫡"
"Ps: showing off my tattoo for the first time 🤭," she added.
She further highlighted the intensity of the session by sharing a picture on her Instagram story and wrote:
"Managed to smile after throwing up 3 times after today's session. Running is hard man."
