Anna Cockrell recently claimed that her jewelry 'is a huge part' of her performance on the track. She also spoke about the accessories she typically adorns during races.
Cockrell competed in her second Olympics earlier this month at the 2024 Paris Olympics. She clinched the silver in the 400m hurdles after clocking 51.87s.
Following her impressive display at the Paris Olympics, Cockrell spoke about the role her jewelry plays in her performance. She said (via On Her Turf):
"Glam is a huge part of my performance. I mean, all the jewelry that I wear has a specific meaning. I wear rings that I got one from my boyfriend, one from my sister. My necklace is from my parents."
"The earrings I wear, I don’t have them on today, but the earrings I wear on a race day were a gift from my grandmother before she passed so I spend a lot of time thinking about my accessories and the makeup process," Cockrell added.
Cockrell also stated that she loves a 'glittering moment' and said:
"I want to look cute when I get on the track. So I spend probably too much time doing my makeup on race days. But, I love a glittering moment. I love a little sparkly moment, and I believe that I’m a star, so I want to shine like one."
