Allyson Felix has collaborated with Yahoo as a correspondent to report and analyze all the track and field events at the Paris Olympics 2024. Four other Olympians have also joined the team to fulfill the same role in different sports.

Felix is now a retired track and field athlete who has an exceptional record of 20 World Championship medals and 11 Olympic medals, including seven golds. The Olympian retired in 2022 after winning her 14th world championship gold medal at the World Championships in Eugene. She now runs her own shoe business called 'Saysh', which she introduced in 2021.

Two years after retirement, the athlete is still connected to the sport and will now be featured as a correspondent for Yahoo Sports during the 2024 Summer Games. Yahoo Sports made the announcement on social media, which reveals four other Olympians hired to report for their sports.

Five-time Olympic medalist Missy Franklin and silver medalist Katie Hoff will be reporting for swimming, Shawn Johnson will cover all the gymnastics events, and Kerri Walsh Jennings will be covering all the nooks and crannies of beach volleyball. The post's caption read:

"Announcing five Olympic LEGENDS reporting for Yahoo Sports in Paris this summer."

Allyson Felix is also one of the biggest maternal health advocates for athletes, having faced trials and tribulations during her first pregnancy. She was recently recognized by Melinda Gates, wife of Bill Gates, for being a part of a campaign for women's health and well-being.

Allyson Felix expressed her gratitude for joining Melinda Gates' campaign, where she is one of the recipients of Gate's $1 billion donation, along with several other renowned names to better women's health and well-being.

The former American sprinter took to her Instagram account to share her thoughts on this huge participation and wrote:

"Feeling deeply honored to join this incredible group in partnership with Melinda Gates to improve women's health and well-being. Grateful for the opportunity to continue my advocaccy through his vital work."

She added:

"I am excited to distribute my $20M fund to organizations dedicated to urgent, impactful, and innovative efforts in women’s health and wellbeing."

This also caught the attention of track and field legend Michael Johnson who lauded the athlete for her accomplishment on X.

"Great to see Allyson Felix as one of the recipients of Melinda Gates $1 billion contribution to women's health, for her advocacy work around maternal health," Johnson said.

Allyson Felix went through a lot of difficulties while she was carrying her first child, which led to her becoming one of the strongest voices of maternal health. She recently welcomed her second child Kenneth Maurice Ferguson III.
