Allyson Felix recently shared a suited-up mirror selfie before attending an International Olympic Committee (IOC) meeting. In August 2024, Felix was elected into the IOC’s Athletes’ Commission (AC) by athletes who featured at the Paris Olympics.

The term will last for eight years and is set to conclude at the 2032 Brisbane Olympics. Notably, Felix was appointed to the Athletes' Commission in 2022 by the IOC, the same year she retired, owing to her status as one of the greatest athletes in her sport.

Following her appointment into the AC by the athletes, Felix shared glimpses from Lausanne, Switzerland. The 39-year-old posted a mirror selfie sporting formal wear, captioning the post:

The following images from her stories suggested it was an IOC meeting as one picture had an accreditation badge labeled ‘IOC Member’ and the other was of the IOC headquarters located in Lausanne.

Besides her contribution to track and field as an athlete, Allyson Felix also established Saysh. The company is known for producing shoes and sneakers according to women’s requirements. Felix launched the brand after Nike lowered her endorsement fees after learning about her pregnancy.

Allyson Felix played a crucial role in the creation of a Family Space in the Olympic Village. Although she initially believed the idea might be considered for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics, it was well-received and implemented for the 2024 Paris Olympics.

In an interview with People.com, she said:

“I had been focused on initiatives around childcare at other events. So when we started talking about the Olympics, I was like, ‘This is what I would love to see happen.’ And I was really shocked. It was well received and we kind of hit the ground running with plans for Paris.”

After the nursery's inauguration at the Olympic Village, Felix mentioned receiving feedback from parents and expressed excitement to gather more insights for future improvements.

“People in general are really grateful. I've heard from some dads also, which is really cool. I'm excited at the end of everything to get the full breakdowns and get more feedback from people of what can we do differently and what did they like most,” she added.

Notably, Felix suggested a family space idea as it was difficult for her to travel with her daughter Camryn during her competitive days.
