Allyson Felix, one of the most decorated Olympians of all time, shared her heartfelt wishes for the American water polo icon and two-time Olympic medalist Ashleigh Johnson as she prepares for her third consecutive Summer Games appearance at the Paris Olympics 2024 in July.

Ashleigh Johnson is considered one of the best water polo goalkeepers in the world. She was honored with the Female Water Polo Player of the Year by Swimming World Magazine in 2014.

Besides her double Olympic triumphs at 2016 Rio and 2020 Tokyo, Johnson has also clinched four world championship titles. She earned All-American status at Princeton University, where she also achieved the milestone of 100 victories and topped the list of leading saves for the university.

Johnson is now one of the 13 female water polo players who will be representing the United States in French waters in July. Following the announcement of the Olympic roster, fans started to congratulate the team members.

Joining in was seven-time Olympic champion Allyson Felix, who shared a personalized message for Johnson through an Instagram video posted by Team USA. Felix stated:

"Hey Ashleigh it's Allyson Felix. I just want to say I'm such a fan. It has been so much fun to watch you over the years. I want to wish you all the best as you embark on your journey to Paris 2024."

A star-struck Johnson replied to the video, saying:

"Woo! That's so cool. Getting a message like that from Allyson Felix is like a dream come true."

Furthermore, Felix reposted the video on her Instagram story, writing:

"Couldn't be prouder @ashleighjohnson! Cheering you on"

Allyson Felix has achieved the status of most decorated track and field athlete of all time for her running finesse in 100m, 200m, and 400m. Before calling it a day in her professional career in 2022, Felix amassed a total of 11 Olympic medals, 14 world championship titles, four Diamond League titles, and numerous other accolades.

The runner participated in her maiden Olympics in 2004 in Athens, where she won a silver medal in the 200-meter sprint, the only event that she participated in. During the 2008 Beijing Olympics, she again clinched a silver in the same discipline and helped Team USA win gold in the 4x400 m relay.

At the 2012 Summer Games in London, the 38-year-old claimed three golds in the 200m, 4x100m relay, and 4x400m relay. In Rio 2016, she won the 4x100m relay and 4x400m relay titles while winning a silver in the 400m. The 2020 Tokyo Olympics was her final appearance at the competition, where she won a gold and a bronze in the 4x400m relay and the 400m respectively.
