"Almost our 2 year anniversary"- Noah Lyles and girlfriend Junelle Bromfield to spend their special day competing

Noah Lyles and his girlfriend, Junelle Bromfield, who is also a Jamaican athlete, have been dating for almost two years now. Both athletes have opened up about celebrating their special day while competing at the Paris Olympics.

Both Lyles and Bromfield booked their berths in Paris by producing a dominant performance in their respective sports. Lyles will be competing in the 100m and 200m race dashes, and the Jamaican athlete will be squaring off in the 400m and then relay x discipline.

The couple first met in 2017 and were friends for the first six years. They started dating in August 2022, as Bromfield shared an anniversary wish in August 2023 on social media that read:

"Cheers to 7 years of friendship, 6 months of dating, 1 year of being your partner. And to forever loving you, #1yearanniversary."

Now, the couple is about to complete two years of togetherness and will be spending the special day together running at the track. Junelle Bromfield took to her Instagram story and shared a video of her and Lyles dancing on the field. She wrote:

"Almost our two years anniversary❤️❤️❤️. We both will be running on that day😂😂."

Noah Lyles re-posted his girlfriend's story on his Instagram and wrote:

"OMG HOW HAS THE TIME GONE SO FAST."

Noah Lyles opens up about how he and Junelle Bromfield first started talking

Noah Lyles recently opened up about how he and Junelle Bromfield started talking at the "Fast Lane Lifestyle" podcast, which is hosted by Asafa Powell and his wife Alysha Powell. He revealed that the Jamaican athlete texted him on social media, and then eventually Lyles confessed his feelings to Junelle.

"So, in 2017 she slides in my DM's. We start chit-chatting a little bit and I'm very defensive, you know as I am young on the scene and thinking I just broke the 300m Indoor World record so I can't just be giving away my number to nobody." Noah Lyles said. (3:45)

Lyles also revealed that he confessed his feelings after four or five months of talking to each other.

"So, time goes on and she hit me with the 'you wanna play an iPhone game' and I am like well I messaged this girl for like a few weeks on social media and I might as well give her my number," Lyles added. "So, we started playing the game and four or five months have passed, and I dropped the 'you know what I think I like you'." (4:34)

Ever since then, the couple has been together and now has the vision of attaining Olympic gold. Both of them will be seen competing next at the Paris Olympics, which is slated to take place from July 26 to August 11.
