Angel Reese drops 4-word reaction to Masai Russell becoming a "homeowner at 24"

Chicago Sky power forward Angel Reese recently shared her admiration for the Olympic champion Masai Russell, who bought a new home. This milestone comes after an incredible 2024 season in which Russell earned numerous accolades, including her first Olympic gold medal.

The 24-year-old American hurdler recently bought a home to add to her impressive list of achievements in 2024. Russell posted pictures from her new home where she proudly posed in front of a white marble-framed fireplace with a subtle grey veining frame. Sharing the pictures on her Instagram account, the sprinter wrote:

"HOMEOWNER AT 24 🏡! Thank you God. Thank you to my parents. Thank you to my real estate agent. 🫶🏽 2024 just keeps getting better & better."

In the post, Angel Reese expressed her pride in Russell and commented:

"Proud of you bby!!!"

Masai Russell made a splash at this year's Paris Olympics where she made her Summer Games debut. The American prodigy stood atop the podium in the women's 100m hurdles, winning the finals in a thrilling photo finish. She triumphed over France's Cyréna Samba-Mayela and Puerto Rico's defending champion Jasmine Camacho-Quinn in the finals.

Following that, she also competed in Athlos NYC, a women-only meet created by Serena Williams' husband and Reddit co-founder, Alexis Ohanian, where she finished third and earned $10,000.

"You show yourself what you're capable of" - Masai Russell reflects on building her legacy

In a recent interview with Athlos, Masai Russell reflected on setting ambitious goals and pushing herself to achieve them while showing herself what she is capable of in the process. Mentioning the importance of building a legacy, Russell stated:

"I think my why is taking it how far Masai can take it. Set these goals and you put them out there and when you just attain them, you show yourself what you're capable of. It's just a challenge every day. My mom has always told me, 'What will be your legacy?' I think I'm in the process of building that."

"Winning an Olympic gold as a rookie. I just want to continue to make that happen year in and year out and do it with a smile on my face and bringing people along while I'm doing it," she added.

In addition to all her achievements, Masai Russell also secured a sponsorship deal with Nike earlier this year.
